About Racing

Euro Motorworks became active in the racing community in March of 2000.  Prior to 2000, Terry Heath, co-owner of Euro Motorworks had been involved for years in driving events and schools with the local Porsche Club.  As a company, we had been providing racing enhancements and track preparation for our clients for several years.  In 2000 Terry decided to try his hand at racing organized by the Porsche Club of America.  He has enjoyed numerous successes in the Porsche Club racing series, winning podium finishes in 95% of his starts and first place finishes in 36 of his 48 races to date.

In 2003 Terry saw his first Grand-Am action at Mont-Tremblant, Quebec in the SGI class, #82 DDS Racing Porsche GT3 Cup Car, co-driven by J.C. France.  The team finished in 8th place.  Not bad for a rookie driver!  2004 was a break out year for Terry, co-driving the #82 DDS Racing Porsche in the famed Rolex 24 hours at Daytona.  Terry's rain talents were evident as he logged seat time for 11 of the 24 hours of this rain soaked event.

In 2006 Terry was offered an opportunity to race in the Porsche Super Cup Series which travels with Formula One.  The Dutch team Morellato had a last minute opening for one of their cars and Terry was asked to fill the seat.  He jumped on the chance to drive against world famous drivers on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track and finished a respectable 23rd and 19th in his two races.  Impressive given it was his first time in the car and on that particular road course.

Terry returned to Grand-Am in 2007 co-driving the #07 Euro Motorworks/Cardiosport Porsche 997 in the KONI Challenge Series GS class.  2008 marks Terry's 6th year with Grand-Am, once again co-driving the #07 Porsche 997 with car owner Dr. Gary Grigsby.  In addition to his piloting duties, Terry is in charge of development, car prep and transportation.
